Thanks for your inquiry about the Peregrine. Wingloadings on the Peregrine will vary greatly depending on what sort or event the pilot is using the canopy for, and at what loading they are more comfortable competing at. 2.5-3.5 would be an approximate range someone may choose to use the Peregrine.
The canopy was designed to be used in a competition setting where getting open quickly is important. Also the inflight and landing performance was of much higher priority than the ability to open well at terminal deployments as we were developing the canopy. In the engineering phase we placed more emphasis on the flight performance and made a decision that terminal deployments were not a priority, so the canopy, and especially the lines, were not equipped to provide good performance in this area.
